Puerto Rico Guide
Although a small island in the Caribbean, Puerto Rico does it better! Not lacking in its experiences, it’s bound to flabbergast you. While you discover unique adventures, history, culture, beaches, nightlife and sports, the contrasts are awe-inspiring. Featuring a mountainous landscape, it is in Puerto Rico that you can find one of world’s longest zip-lines. Or you can paddle through one of the most romantic places on earth – the Bioluminescent Bay of Vieques. The historic towns of San Juan and Ponce, the sparkling beaches and the tropical rainforests are only some of the reasons why it’s a great destination for your next family vacation. Any which way you are sure to be dazzled.
It is only a 2 hour flight from continental US, and does not require a US passport to visit. What a pleasure, that means no customs and no immigration to worry about if you are a US citizen. Other perks include being able to use US currency, and US mobile carriers.
When should you go: December to June is the peak travel period and good time to avoid the hurricane season. But even from June to Dec, it is not common for the storms to make landfall. You will see less crowds and more promotional hotel rates. December to April is the dry season and August can be hot, rainy and humid.
Why should you go? An easy destination with no passport required for US citizens.
